The Work of the Community
Hey Bone, yesterday may have been any other service to you but it was special to me. No its not Pastor Jeff and his funny quirks only, neither was the ministering music. It was when you know deep in you something clicked. Some call it enlightenment, others call it a moment of truth. I say it was sharpness of the Word of God.
Aint gonna go through 3 points but just one thing that hit me hard. The hand and heart must be connected. Actions must be in proportion to intention and its easy to see the heart of someone through his or her actions. Why am I saying this? Cause I'm guilty of giving a half hearted attitude when it comes to ministry. I confess I am lazy and did not give my all in what I do.
Examine these 2 verses and share with us how can we relate both.
2 Corinthians 8:12
12For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have.
Colossians 3:23
23Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men,
When God strikes a chord, then it wasn't just a service. I can say I met my Lord on Saturday.
